Come join us in the peaceful setting of
yesteryear.
The depiction of a bustling, small trading
village set in the late 1700's
and early 1800's is what you step into
when you enter
the Covington Community Park the first weekend of
October.
Falling
leaves and the smell of open fires lure you to our "Gathering"
and all the homemade foods, arts and craftswill have you wanting to linger there for the weekend festivities.
Native Americans, authentic demonstrations,
contests, games and entertainment throughout the two-day
"Gathering" add up to fun and enjoyment for the whole
family.
Our 208' long portable footbridge will carry you
across
the Stillwater River to the Mountainman Encampments
and a true
feeling of life of a by-gone era.
The whole weekend starts off at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday morning with our Fort Rowdy Gathering Parade. |
